Easter Eggs are an intentional hidden message, in-joke or feature in an object such as a movie, book, CD, DVD, computer program, web page or video game. The term was coined—according to Warren Robinett—by Atari after they were pointed to the secret message left by Robinett in the game Adventure."

Traditional Gaming

In video games, Easter Eggs are often used to convey humor, traits of the designers, or reveal secret information about the product/game.

Gamification

In Gamification, similar treatments can be used on websites. A Website, through humor, can reveal more of it's personality through Easter Eggs.
